Fly-fishing

Oklahoma's only year-round trout stream. Come anytime - the fish are biting, and it sure beats working. Call Ethan Wright Guide Service (580) 494-6109 . For advanced casting, entomology class, introduction to fly fishing, children's fishing lessons, guide service or supplies and flies, go see Three Rivers Fly Shop, Jesse & Linda King (580) 494-6115 . For Orvis endorsed guide service, call Robert Woodruff at (903) 967-2665. He knows his entomology, and will put you on fish.

Trout Fishing

A 17.4 lb brown trout, new state record, was landed from Lower Mountain Fork. Trout are stocked year round about twice per month.

You can’t imagine the beauty until you see the fly fishing streams….you will think you are in Colorado….so close to your home…no need to drive to Colorado when it is in your backyard.

The “Evening Hole” has been refurbished with grants and funding from the Lower Mountain Fork River Foundation and Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation. This is an exciting project designed as an excellent year round trout habitat. Winter is an excellent time for fly fishing in Oklahoma. Please review the Oklahoma fishing regulations for this section of the Lower Mountain Fork River. Anglers are asked to use only artificial lures with barbless hooks and may harvest only one rainbow trout and one brown trout 20-inches or longer per day.

Canoeing & Kayaks

Broken Bow Lake, Mountain Fork River, Little River and Glover River are within minutes. The infamous Presbyterian Falls is a local highlight. A good day is determined by the number of canoes that dump over! Call for reservations:
